The Korea Center, Los Angeles, which opened in September, 2006 is operated by the four government-sponsored organizations: the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles(KCCLA), the Korea Tourism Organization, Los Angeles office (KTO), and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).

KCCLA

Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles

The Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles (KCCLA) is operated by the Korean Government's Ministry of Culture and Tourism. KCCLA's mission is to broaden Korea-U.S. relations through cultural and educational activities. KCCLA sponsors and hosts an assortment of events, including art exhibitions, stage performances, film screenings, traditional Korean music and dance events, Korean food festivals, language lectures and traditional sporting events.

KTO

Korea Tourism Organization

Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) was established by the Korean government in 1962 to promote Korea as a tourist destination. The organization's main objective initially was to attract tourists from other countries in Asia but soon expanded over the Pacific Ocean a decade later. The Los Angeles branch became the first branch in North America in 1974, with branches being established in New York and Toronto soon after.
KTO LA's main objective is to interact with the media, tour operators, travel agents, meeting planners, and other organizations in the Korean community to promote tourism to Korea. The Los Angeles office covers marketing and other promotional activities in thirteen western U.S. states and 19 countries in Latin America, including Mexico and Brazil.
The Los Angeles office is proud of its efforts and has played an integral role in establishing the US as the third largest market for Korean tourism sending about 770,000 visitors from the US in 2015.

Korea Creative Content Agency

The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) is a Korean Government Agency, committed to promoting Korean creative content industry, building infrastructure for developing creativity and technology, and fostering global partnerships to enhance industry marketing efforts. KOCCA USA provides mutual business opportunities for Korean and American companies and promotes awareness of Korean entertainment contents in the US Entertainment industry.

KSIF

King Sejong Institute Foundation

King Sejong Institute Foundation(KSIF) is a public institution under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Korea in order to manage overseas Korean Language education and to extend Korean culture. KSIF is the world's largest educational institution for non-native speakers of Korean. As part of its purpose, the KSIF opened its first regional center branch, the King Sejong Institute Center USA(KSIC USA), in 2017 in Los Angeles.
The KSIC USA, located in downtown LA and within the Korea Center in Mid-wilshire, is raising standards for other Korean language programs in the region and seeking cooperation for making effective programs through culture and language with several public institutions that are in Korea center as well.
